To start the Genie Intellicode garage door opener remote, Genie (Intellicode 2) 3-button remote G3T-BX programming you need to change the default setting to be changed to Intellicode 1. You can detect which default is in as the LED light on the remote displays red for Intellicode 1 or Green for Intellicode 2.
Setting one of Intellicode 2 remote button to be Intellicode 1 is easy, first of all you need to select the remote button you want to set. Remember, the button should not be programmed yet. Press and hold the button for about 10 seconds, you will see that the two RED and GREEN LEDs are on and stay on. Press again the button for two times, this action is meant to toggle Inttelicode from 2 to Intellicode 1. To confirm the action press the same button once more.
