To replace the Genie 912 remote battery, first remove the battery cover by pressing down the rear side of the remote or the battery cover and slide it off. Get the old battery out and install a new battery with the similar position as the old battery. Put back the battery cover on the rear side of the remote control. Make a small test by pointing the remote at the garage door, your garage door should open automatically.
