Intellicode is a technology that allows the system to choose more than 4.3 billion codes as the garage opens or closes. This is an access entry technology to secure the garage of yours. Intellicode Genie garage door opener is used to replace the old Genie that uses switches code. As you need the code to open the door, it is important for you to try to repair your Intellicode opener when the opener is not responding even if signal from controller is sent.
Try to repair your Intellicode Genie garage door opener by resetting the device and try to program it again. The reset process is also applicable when you accidentally forgot the security code of your garage door opener.
To reset the Intellicode Genie garage door opener, first thing first, prepare the Genie Intellicode keypad to be ready. Open the keypad cover halfway open, you will see several number buttons and key buttons. The next procedure, press number 8 and PROG key buttons on the keypad simultaneously. While you still hold down the two buttons, get the rest of the keypad cover fully open. The indicator light on the keypad is blinking in red. You can release the 8 and PROG buttons while fully close the cover keypad. The indicator light is responding by blinking again.
Open the cover keypad into full open position. The next step, press in order the number of 3-5-7 buttons on your keypad. To proceed, enter the security PIN of yours (the PIN is a combination of eight digits of numbers, you can select the PIN from numbers only not combination of key and number) and press PROG button to end it. Genie Intellicode is now set to security code. Try to synchronizing the new Genie controllers to the opener by performing the Genie Intellicode reprogramming.
